STORY

Our Name

Kelevn channels the spirit of furthering the bond between owner and dog. Encompassing the values of behavior training and recognizing the challenges of a busy lifestyle, we seek to empower the natural instincts and develop a healthy regimen specifically designed for canines. The goal is to provide a controlled routine to meet their desire to run free without constraints of physical space.

Our Colors

Fetch yellow

Good boy blue

Did you know that dogs see the world differently than we do? With dichromatic vision, they can only distinguish shades of blue and yellow, making these two colors stand out most vividly in their eyes. Unlike humans, who see a full spectrum of vibrant tones, dogs experience a simpler, more muted palette.

That’s why we carefully chose our brand colors – blue and yellow – to create a calming, visually engaging environment tailored specifically to our four-legged guests. Because here, it’s all about seeing the world from their perspective.

Hi, I’m Sam Jessel, the proud owner of K-11!

Opening a state-of-the-art dog care facility has been a longtime dream of mine, and I’m beyond excited to bring this vision to life. My journey with dogs started long before K-11. With over a decade of experience as a professional dog trainer—including training K-9 special forces dogs for bomb detection—I’ve dedicated my life to understanding and working with dogs.

I first launched my training company, Commander Paw, in New York, but a few years ago, my family and I planted our roots in Beachwood, ready to take on our next adventure. Speaking of family, dogs have always been at the center of mine. I knew I needed to find a wife who loved dogs just as much as I did, and that’s exactly what happened when I met Jordyn in New York. I knew she was the one when, on our second date, she asked me to take a road trip with her to pick up our dog, Chloe. From that day forward, Chloe came everywhere with us. She was even the dog-of-honor at our wedding! Now, she has an even bigger role: big sister to our (human) son, Lev. Watching the love between them is something truly special.

Chloe has been such a huge part of our lives, and she was a big inspiration behind K-11. We wanted to create a facility that offers high-end, full-service care for dogs—a place where every pup is treated like family. Now, that dream is a reality, and we can’t wait to welcome you and your furry best friend to K-11! And of course, Chloe will always be here, wagging her tail and ready to meet you.
